10 year-old schoolboy interrogated by police over spelling error
So maybe you thought human bullshit had already reached its lowest low? Well, sorry to disappoint you, but in this matter it seems the absolute zero still has to be discovered yet. If that's the only way our British neighbours could think of to entice kids to improve their spelling and elocution, “it sucks big time” so to speak. Watch out for any slip of the tongue. The Thought Police is lurking in every nook and cranny of your subconscious. Soon cracking somebody up should be taken literally and it won't be funny.
A Muslim schoolboy who mistakenly wrote that he lived in a “terrorist house” rather than a “terraced house” has been interrogated by police.
The 10-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, made the spelling mistake during an English lesson at a primary school in Accrington, Lancashire, in December.
His teachers did not realize it was an error and reported the student to the police, in accordance with the 2015 Counter-Terrorism and Security Act, which states that teachers are obliged to alert the authorities to any suspected terrorist behavior.
