The 21st year of the 21st Century: A Year of Chaos and Great Awakening
Undoubtedly, the year of 2020 was a difficult one for the whole world. Having spent most of the year under house arrest, locked inside their own countries, people realize how suddenly the world can change. Of course, the change is not what we all want, but change has taken place.
My first article in 2020 was titled 2020: The Year of Chaos and Great Opportunity.
It was published on January 12 on the first planetary conjunction of the year when Mercury aligned with Saturn and Pluto, and was written before any of us had heard about COVID. It was written in a (relatively speaking) normal world. If you read it today, you’ll find a great resemblance with today’s reality. I didn’t guess when I wrote it: I saw it all coming.
I could continue this article it in the same spirit and say more about what I see coming down the pike but I prefer not to end this year on a bleak note. Instead, I want to highlight the good in the bad and leave you with hope for the future.
My first book — PATH: Seeking Truth in a World of Lies — was published in 2013. In it, I describe my six-year experience in a Northern Californian cult. Resisting heavy brainwashing was my daily life during those years. Fortunately, I was able to leave without losing my mind, or even my life (as some people actually did). I never thought I’d be talking about those events in public or writing about them in my books. I didn’t think it was important enough to cross the boundaries of personal life and take it out in the open. Today, as I see the whole world becoming a cult, I feel like my previous experience might be useful to other people. Without recounting all the details in that book, I wish to share a few lessons from that period that might help people cope with today’s reality.
I‘ll draw a few parallels to make the picture clearer.
