    Music by Indochine

When Indochine decided to experiment with classical music, they came up with this sweet, delicate, and delightful instrumental piece which may come as a surprise to many — at least to those who didn't know the original band (of which singer Nicola Sirkis is the only founding member left) or only through mainstream media coverage. "La Bûddha Affaire" is the splendid opening track of what was and will always be to me their best album — that is the strongly deplored 7000 Danses released in 1987; many were displeased with it because of its richest arrangements, its rockier accents using proper drums instead of machines, and its smarter lyrics. In one word: it didn't sound commercial enough to the uneducated ears of the time.
